A familiar game, our own approach
The project is based on classic Bubble Shooter. Aim to match three or more bubbles of the same colour. Use wall bounces to reach the group you want, or remove the bubbles holding it up to make it fall.
We're building our own version of this game. We pay attention to how the aim moves, the sound of bubbles popping and the challenge of the next shot. We want it to feel good whether you stop by for a quick break or settle in for a long game to beat your best score.
That's why there's no timer or map of separate levels. You can study the board, find a good angle and think about your next move. You set the pace; the game itself brings the pressure.
Your choices change the board
In our bubble shooter, eliminating an entire colour changes the rows that follow. When no bubbles of that colour remain, it temporarily stops appearing in new rows. Matches become easier to find, but the next batch adds two rows instead of one. Eliminate another colour and it adds three.
Now you need to make the most of the smaller palette and clear the board before it fills up. A full clear earns a bonus, brings back all colours you've unlocked and starts a new cycle within the same game. You keep your score and carry on playing.
Choose Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. Each mode starts with a different number of colours and rows, and allows a different number of misses. The aiming guide is available only on Beginner. On the other modes, you judge the angle yourself.
More to aim for
Alongside a new high score, you can aim to drop a large group with one shot. Or build a long streak of successful shots, or clear the board several times in a single game.
Achievements reward individual moments and the experience you build over time. The first few help you find your feet. Harder ones take accuracy and patience, and some take many games to earn. Each new achievement appears with an effect right on the game board.
The scores page brings together your results, statistics and achievement collection. You can follow your progress and choose what to work towards next.
Colour, sound and the small details
Glossy bubbles, falling cascades and soft effects give bubble-shooter.net its character. We want a good shot to feel rewarding for the points it earns and the result you see and hear.
Choose one of six colour palettes, a board background and a music track. Adjust music and sound effects separately, or reduce the animation. You can change the look and sound to suit your mood.
Come back and pick up where you left off
Bubble Shooter runs in your browser. You don't need to install an app or create an account. Play with a mouse and keyboard on a computer, or use touch controls on a phone.
Your game, settings, high scores and achievements are saved automatically in your browser. To continue, come back on the same device using the same browser. Clearing the site's data deletes your saves. They don't transfer between devices.
